Markets to Visit in Abuja

Usually, when you ask someone in Abuja which market the would recommend for you, a place like the Wuse Market comes up. But there are still other markets that you could also visit when you are in the city that will be of invaluable service to you while you’re around. Some of these markets are listed below:

Farmers market

The Farmers market located in Maitama was established in 2008 for the masses. The market is situated along the IBB Way which is easier to locate. The concept that was created in this market was to provide the masses fresh farm produce and also allow the farmers come to the market with their produce. The price of goods are relatively cheap here because there virtually are no middlemen between the farmers/dealers and the consumers.

Zuba and Kugbo Spare Part Market

This is a market for you to visit when you need to get your spare parts for your car. Automobile engineers are always seen here because of the availability of the car parts at affordable rates here. One major plus for this market is that you could find the spare parts for almost any car here. It is located along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.

Karimo Market

Karimo Market is where you can buy affordable food stuffs and many other types of accessories, especially the second grade/imported products that many Nigerians may want to buy. This market can be seen beside the road right after the Life camp Junction that is on the Gwagwa-Karimo way.

Dei-Dei Livestock Market

The Dei-Dei Livestock Market is where you can buy your live sheep, goats, rams, cows, chicken and other livestock. This market is situated at the Deidei town that is seen along Kubwa/ Zuba Expressway.

Kugbo Furniture Market

If you are looking for a place to get furniture, come to Kugbo Furniture Market. This market is along the Abuja/Nyanya/ Karu /Keffi Expressway. You will find a lot of things here pertaining to home decors at an affordable rate, as against visiting some of the showrooms across the city.

These are some of the markets that you would love to visit when you are in Abuja that have different things for you at an affordable rate. Do you know any other markets in the city that you feel is worthy of mention? Please tell us about them in the comments section.
